Sir,
With reference to my Despatch No.7/ of the 8th of January last, I have to inform you that I have extended, with half salary, for three months, commencing from the 12th of February next the leave of absence granted to Mr. H. J. Thomsett, Harbour Master of Hongkong.
I enclose copies of correspondence between myself and Mr. Thomsett on the subject.
